J-PEAKS Collaborative Research Platform Researchers Networking Session held

On Friday, September 26, the Collaborative Research Platform Researchers Networking Session was held at the Creative Research Institute. The event aimed to deepen mutual understanding of research activities among researchers involved in theprojects selected under the Collaborative Research Platform program, and to support the further development of these research units through the sharing of ideas and challenges related to interdisciplinary research.

A total of 66 participants attended the session, including researchers from the selected research projects and their mentors.

The session opened with welcoming remarks by Executive Vice President Tsuyoshi Setoguchi. In the subsequent project presentations, Professor Yoshifumi Yamaguchi of the Institute of Low Temperature Science, Professor Toru Murayama of the Institute for Catalysis, and Assistant Professor Yuta Fujii of the Faculty of Engineering delivered presentations on behalf of their respective research units.

This was followed by the introduction of project overviews from the other research units. During the discussion session, participants engaged in lively exchanges of views on approaches to interdisciplinary research and the development of the institutional framework at Hokkaido University.

The final part of the event was a networking session, which opened with remarks by Vice President Hiroshi Amitsuka. Participants enjoyed lively exchanges of information and opinions across diverse research fields and professional roles in a warm and collegial atmosphere. The event concluded successfully with closing remarks by Executive Vice President Yasuhiro Yukimatsu.
